Spells: Random

Now THESE right here are proper Wizards. Professors form the backbone of the University. A Tenured Professor will be infamous for their exploits, their genius, and their utter lack of accountability. Professors usually gain 1 HD and Wizard Level per 15 years spent researching. Most, except perhaps the most egotistical and powerful, will be referred to only by their first initial, because names carry power.

    2. I mean, you gotta assume, right?
The greatest wizard carries the INFINITE SWORD.

    3. So to find the greatest wizard we just need to find INFINITE SWORD?

    4. I do believe I've made a space for this 'Find the INFINITE SWORD' adventure: http://goodberrymonthly.blogspot.com/2019/02/accessing-infinity.html

  2. One of the main areas of the city is the University. Great source of information, place to trade in magic, drain gold pieces, and supply mad wizards as needed. Since the players have decided to avail themselves of this resource, I’ll be adding these tables to my Referee binder. Thanks.

  3. This post led me to read gallax hall, which led me to read your Wizard University posts which led me to read. Uhm.
    All of your blog.

Bloody good work! I love the ideas you put out here, especially the Wizard City and the Infinite Hotel. (I personally might plop Gallax hall in a non-wizard city though, since having all that insane wizardness concentrated into the relatively small area of a college campus is very appealing to me)

    1. If you're gonna do that, then I'll make one recommendation: go the medieval route with your system of law, in that different classes of people have different codes of law that they follow. So the Students have a different set of laws they're accountable to than Clergy, Peasants, Merchants, or Nobility.

So, maximum friction, multiplied by the factor of wizardry.
